This unique model with copyrighted outline of the magnificent Mount Ararat is carved from one piece of walnut wood and features hornbeam wood incrustation. Engraved on one side is a scene from the biblical story of Noah, who was instructed by God to build an ark and take his family and two of each species of all living creatures on earth into the ark to save them from the impending Flood that would destroy all life on the earth. The scene depicts Noah emerging from the ark after the flood waters subsided, as the ark rests on the shoulder of the Mount Ararat. Based on this story, Mount Ararat is perceived as a symbol of salvation of the mankind.

The reverse side of the backgammon is designed for playing checkers and is engraved with braid pattern ornaments with combination of complex elements.

This model is completely handcrafted. The surface is treated with natural beeswax. The hinges and locks are made of cast bronze. The entire playing field is hand carved out of one piece of wood.

The set includes:

32 playing pieces. The base of each piece is made of beech and walnut wood. Affixed on each piece is the harbinger bird- dove, cast of aluminum and zinc alloy and bronze.

The bottom of each piece is covered with velvet fabric.

Dice are made of ivory.
